The Gardman Heavy Duty Squirrel Proof Seed Bird Feeder is the perfect bird feeder to stop any of the larger greedy birds or larger animals such as squirrels and lets the smaller birds enjoy a good snack. This like many of the other Gardman Bird Feeders in the range is heavy duty and made of very high quality so will have no issues withstanding any British weather conditions thrown at it. The Gardman Heavy Duty Squirrel Proof Seed Bird Feeder is a very sturdy bird feeder and is not going to break any time soon, in fact its going to last you a long time, if not a life time due to its die cast metal cage with the gunmetal finish. This is a very easy bird feeder to dismantle and has been designed to be filled and cleaned with as much ease as possible. How it works is the cage outside keeps out the larger birds and animals such as squirrels, crows, pigeons and many other British Birds that demolish their way through the feed within days or hours, and if you’ve had that problem too I feel your pain! I like to have my bird feeding station set up with a squirrel proof bird feeder such as this one, and then a couple of normal bird feeders so all the birds can get their chance to have a snack. It holds 500g of bird seed mix and its dimensions measure aprox. 31cms tall by around 24cm in diameter. It also comes with some feedsafe biocidal coating which kills any germs or bacterial on contact for you to use when cleaning it, which personally I think is a great little touch to make sure the birdies don’t get a nasty tummy 🙂
